Listeria monocytogenes on blood agar with with colistin and aztreonam (CAP). Cultivation 48 hours, aerobic atmosphere, 37°C.

Colonies are whitish gray, surrounded by a narrow zone of beta-hemolysis. Listeria monocytogenes colonies can be confused with Streptococcus agalactiae (L.monocytogenes is catalase positive).
