The CAMP test with Listeria monocytogenes, Streptococcus agalactiae and Staphylococcus aureus.
The reverse CAMP test with Arcanobacterium haemolyticum.
L.monocytogenes produce diffusible protein that acts synergistically with the beta-lysin produced by Staphylococcus aureus to produce a zone of enhanced lysis of sheep erythrocytes. The enhanced haemolysis adjacent to the beta-lysin producing S.aureus strain is less apparent and rectangular in shape compared with the arrow-head shape of Streptococcus agalactiae (see also here).
