Campylobacter jejuni Gram-stain. Campylobacters are small (the cells may vary from 0.5 to 8 μm in length, and 0.2 to
0.5 μm in width), curved, Gram-negative rods (spirilli) with morphologic features and motility similar to those of vibrios.
Like vibrios, campylobacters are oxidase positive.
